ASAP Rocky’s Don’t Be Dumb Vinyls Arrive Early

Vinyl copies of ASAP Rocky’s highly anticipated new album Don’t Be Dumb have reportedly been spotted on shelves at Target stores days before the official release date — sending fans into a frenzy online. With the album due to drop January 16, 2026, this early discovery has added even more buzz to an already intense rollout.

Early Vinyl Sightings Fuel Hype and Leak Fears

Over the past 24 hours, fans on Reddit and social media have shared posts claiming that Don’t Be Dumb vinyl records were found on sale or pre-order at Target stores around the U.S., several days before the official street date. One user even shared photos suggesting that the album is physically available — though most reports note that staff still won’t sell it until the official release window opens.

These sightings have sparked two major reactions among fans:

  • Excitement over a potential advance listen on vinyl.

  • Concern about leaks, as early physical copies often lead to digital versions hitting the internet ahead of time — something the Don’t Be Dumb rollout already dealt with in past years.

Whether these early copies will lead to a leak remains uncertain, but for now they’re fueling Don’t Be Dumb chatter across Reddit, Twitter, and fan forums.

New Single Helicopter Drops Monday

Adding to the buzz, ASAP Rocky recently announced a new single titled Helicopter, slated to drop Monday (January 12) — just days before the full album arrives. This track follows earlier releases this era, such as Punk Rocky, and is expected to serve as another preview of what’s to come on Don’t Be Dumb.

Rocky teased the song on his social channels with energetic visuals and a hype-driven caption, calling it one of the “dumbest videos of the f**in’ year.” Early snippets from fans suggest a high-energy, trap-influenced sound, complete with helicopter imagery that matches the title.

There’s also talk online about possible guest features — including speculation about his once protege Playboi Carti on the track — though official credits haven’t been confirmed yet.

With the release of even more signed vinyls and merch, ASAP Rocky has piqued even my own interest and influenced me to buy one of the signed Don’t Be Dumb vinyls.
