Quavo Is Bringing The Heat
Quavo is officially entering a new chapter. The Migos rapper has released his latest single, “Trance (Walk It Down),” giving fans another preview of his highly anticipated upcoming album, QRÖMELIFE. The new track is produced by Pharrell Williams, who is also executive producing QRÖMELIFE.
Following the release of “HAAVIN” earlier this summer, “Trance (Walk It Down)” gives fans another glimpse at the direction Quavo is taking with his next solo album. This time around, the Atlanta rapper leans heavily into a club ready sound built around booming 808s, bouncing hi-hats, crisp percussion and his signature melodic delivery.
Quavo and Pharrell Team Up for “Trance (Walk It Down)”
“Trance (Walk It Down)” finds Quavo bringing his trademark energy to a production style that feels tailor-made for the dance floor. The song also interpolates Shannon’s classic 1983 hit “Let the Music Play,” adding a recognizable piece of dance music history to the modern rap production.
The collaboration continues Quavo’s work with Pharrell, who is taking on production duties across QRÖMELIFE. Quavo has previously described working with Pharrell as an experience that has pushed him to become more versatile creatively.
“Working with Pharrell means you need to be versatile—a sound bender, a wave creator and a trend setter. He levels you up.”
The pairing is already showing a different side of Quavo compared to some of his previous solo material.
“Trance” Continues the QRÖMELIFE Rollout
The new single follows “HAAVIN,” which launched the rollout for QRÖMELIFE in June. That track made its debut as part of Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton Spring-Summer 2027 Men’s show in Paris, immediately connecting Quavo’s new era with Pharrell’s work in music and fashion.
With “HAAVIN” and now “Trance (Walk It Down),” Quavo has begun establishing the sonic identity of QRÖMELIFE before the full project arrives.
The album will be Quavo’s first solo studio album since 2023’s Rocket Power, which served as a tribute to his late nephew and Migos groupmate Takeoff. QRÖMELIFE appears to move in a different direction, with Quavo emphasizing evolution, perseverance and a renewed sense of confidence.
Quavo Takes “Trance” to Marbella
“Trance (Walk It Down)” also arrives with an official music video directed by Quavo and Daps. The visual was filmed in Marbella, Spain, including scenes aboard a yacht and at a luxury villa.
The setting matches the song’s lavish, party-focused energy, surrounding Quavo with luxury, fashion and nightlife imagery.
The new visual further emphasizes the aesthetic Quavo is building around QRÖMELIFE, making it clear that the upcoming album is about more than just music.
Quavo Is Coming to Orlando This August
Quavo’s new era will also make its way to Central Florida later this month. The Atlanta rapper is set to perform at Addition Financial Arena at the University of Central Florida in Orlando on Thursday, August 27 as part of UCF’s Pegasus Palooza Concert Knight.
Doors are scheduled to open at 7 p.m., with Quavo’s performance beginning at 8 p.m. The event is being presented by UCF’s Campus Activities Board and will give Orlando fans an opportunity to see Quavo perform live as he continues rolling out his new music.
The Orlando performance arrives at an interesting point in Quavo’s career, with the rapper currently building anticipation for QRÖMELIFE and releasing new material like “HAAVIN” and “Trance (Walk It Down).” With Quavo arriving in Orlando in the middle of the QRÖMELIFE rollout, the UCF performance will offer Central Florida fans an early look at this next chapter as it continues to take shape.
