One of the most coveted Eminem sneaker collaborations ever made is finally coming back.
The Eminem Air Jordan 4 Encore is set to return in 2027, giving sneaker fans another opportunity to own one of the most legendary collaborations between a hip-hop artist and Jordan Brand.
The original “Encore” Air Jordan 4 debuted in 2005 to celebrate the release of Eminem’s fifth studio album, Encore. Only a very limited number of pairs were produced, making the sneaker an extremely rare collector’s item.
Now, more than two decades later, Jordan Brand is reportedly bringing the silhouette back to retail.

Air Jordan 4 “Encore” 2027 Release Date
According to current reports, the updated Eminem Air Jordan 4 “Encore” will release on May 15, 2027.
The sneaker is expected to release through SNKRS, although additional retailers and release details could be announced closer to the launch.
The upcoming pair carries the style code JJ3098-400 and is expected to retail for $230.
With the original pair being nearly impossible to obtain, the return of the “Encore” Air Jordan 4 is already shaping up to be one of the biggest celebrity sneaker collaborations of 2027.
How Is the 2027 “Encore” Different From the Original?
While the upcoming release takes inspiration directly from Eminem’s original Air Jordan 4, it will not be an exact reproduction.
The new sneaker is expected to feature a Blue Ribbon, Game Purple, Stealth, and Black color scheme. The most noticeable difference is the use of purple accents instead of the red detailing found on the original.
Jordan Brand is also expected to use an updated Air Jordan 4 shape, giving the new version a more modern construction while maintaining the overall look of Eminem’s iconic collaboration.
That distinction could make the 2027 release particularly interesting for collectors. Instead of simply recreating the original, Jordan Brand appears to be creating a new version that pays tribute to the 2005 classic.

The Story Behind Eminem’s “Encore” Air Jordan 4
The original Eminem x Air Jordan 4 has an especially unique history.
It is rumored that in 2005, Eminem was visiting Nike’s campus during his Anger Management Tour when he came across an early Air Jordan 4 sample. The design reportedly caught his attention because of its BlackBerry inspired color blocking.
Eminem eventually worked with Jordan Brand to create his own version of the sneaker, which was tied to his Encore album.
The resulting blue Air Jordan 4 became one of the most exclusive sneakers in Eminem’s collection.
Only 50 pairs of the original collaboration were produced, with the sneakers distributed to friends and family of Eminem and Jordan Brand. That extremely limited production run helped turn the “Encore” into one of the biggest grails in sneaker culture.
