For wifisfuneral, the influences run deeper than music.
The Florida rapper has built a career rooted in his home state while pulling inspiration from everything from Ye (formerly Kanye West) albums to Japanese professional wrestling. While co-headlining Tyla Yaweh’s RAGERBOY Festival in Orlando, wifisfuneral sat down with The Kitchen for an interview about some of the artists, albums and interests that have shaped him.
Asked to name one album that changed his life, wifi couldn’t settle on just one. His picks were Ye’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and 808s & Heartbreak — two records from an artist he still hopes to see perform live one day.
“I love Ye,” wifisfuneral told The Kitchen. “He’s one of my favorite rappers.”
The conversation also touched on the Ye tour wifi wishes he could have experienced, an impressively deep list of favorite professional wrestlers, the artists he believes belong on Florida’s rap Mount Rushmore and what he considers his biggest recent accomplishment outside of money.

The Kitchen: What’s one album that changed your life?
wifisfuneral: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. No, wait, it’s actually two — MBDTF and 808s & Heartbreak.
The Kitchen: Have you been able to see Ye live in concert?
wifisfuneral: Nah, not yet. I haven’t ever been able to see him live yet. I would love to, honestly. If I could go back in time, I would love to see him on the Glow in the Dark Tour. I love Ye. He’s one of my favorite rappers.

wifisfuneral: Bret Hart, Harley Race, Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi — and it’s gotta be a tie between Shawn Michaels and AJ Styles.

wifisfuneral: It’s gotta be the Burning Hammer by Kenta Kobashi. That’s real ball knowledge, if you know you know!

His biggest recent flex has nothing to do with money
The Kitchen: What would you say is your biggest flex recently that’s not related to money?
wifisfuneral: I’m finally learning how to be an adult. Deadass — adulting.
wifisfuneral reveals his favorite comfort foods
The Kitchen: Since we’re The Kitchen, I have to ask: any favorite snacks or foods for the studio or on the road?
wifisfuneral: If I’m on the road, I have two different categories. If I’m at the crib in Florida, I have to have arroz con gandules. It doesn’t matter what time of day it is — I HAVE to have arroz con gandules.
If I’m out on the road, I have to have fettuccine Alfredo. That’s just, like, my comfort meal. If any place sells Alfredo, I’ll be alright!
