Yeat Appears to Take Direct Aim at Travis Scott
Yeat has seemingly fired back at Travis Scott with his newly released song and music video, “ON NOTHING.”
The track finds Yeat delivering several pointed lines that listeners have interpreted as direct shots at the Cactus Jack rapper. The clearest reference arrives when Yeat raps, “Put out that flame, it’s f—ing lame,” seemingly flipping Travis Scott’s longtime “La Flame” nickname into a diss.
Yeat also appears to accuse his unnamed target of being controlled by others, calling the person a “puppet” who only says what he is told to say. Although Travis is never explicitly named in the lyrics, the timing, references and recent controversy surrounding the two artists leave little doubt about who fans believe Yeat is addressing.
“ON NOTHING” arrives alongside an official music video, turning what had previously been online speculation into one of hip-hop’s most unexpected developing feuds.
The Diss Follows Yeat’s Removal From “Eaters”
The apparent Travis Scott diss comes shortly after Yeat’s verse was removed from “Eaters,” a song featured on Young Thug and YSL’s newly released Slime Language 3 compilation.
The original version included contributions from Young Thug, Travis Scott, Future, Tezzus and Yeat. However, the song was subsequently updated on streaming services without Yeat’s appearance. Reports circulating online claimed that another featured artist gave Young Thug an ultimatum: remove Yeat’s verse or lose their own contribution. Travis Scott was widely identified as the artist behind that alleged demand, although neither Travis, Young Thug nor YSL has publicly confirmed the story.
Could Travis Scott Respond to Yeat?
It remains unclear whether Travis Scott will acknowledge “ON NOTHING” or respond on another record. Travis has not publicly addressed Yeat’s removal from “Eaters,” and no official explanation has been provided for why the track was changed after its release.
The controversy adds another layer of attention to Slime Language 3, which arrived with an extensive guest list featuring artists including Future, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Quavo and Yeat across the project.
For now, “ON NOTHING” represents Yeat’s clearest statement on the situation. What began as confusion over a missing verse may have officially developed into a new rap feud—and all eyes are now on Travis Scott’s next move.
