Travis Scott’s Air Jordan 1 Low Gets a Chicago Inspired Makeover
Travis Scott may finally be putting his signature spin on the most iconic color combination in Air Jordan history.
Early images of a new Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low “Chicago” colorway surfaced online Monday, revealing a red, white and black design reportedly scheduled to release sometime in 2027.
The upcoming sneaker has not been officially announced by Travis Scott, Nike or Jordan Brand. However, multiple established sneaker sources have reported that the pair pictured is expected to be the version eventually released.

First Look at the Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low “Chicago”
The rumored release applies Chicago style color blocking to Travis Scott’s familiar Air Jordan 1 Low OG design.
White leather covers the shoe’s base, while dark red overlays appear around the toe, eyestays and heel. A large black reverse Swoosh stretches across the lateral side, immediately creating the red, white and black combination associated with the original Air Jordan 1 “Chicago.”
However, this does not appear to be a direct recreation of the classic colorway. The red shown in the early images is noticeably darker than the traditional Varsity Red, leaning closer to a deep cherry or burgundy shade.
Sail and pink alternative laces are also reportedly included, giving wearers several ways to change the sneaker’s appearance.
Why the Chicago Inspired Colorway Stands Out
Travis Scott has released numerous Air Jordan 1 collaborations, but his previous designs have largely avoided directly recreating Jordan Brand’s most recognizable heritage colorways.
That makes this Chicago inspired edition particularly significant.
The original “Chicago” color scheme is closely tied to Michael Jordan’s earliest signature sneakers and remains one of the most recognizable designs in footwear history. Combining those colors with Travis Scott’s reverse Swoosh could make this one of the most anticipated releases from his ongoing Jordan Brand partnership.
The familiar palette should also give the shoe broader appeal than some of Scott’s more experimental brown, olive and pastel colored releases.
When Will the Travis Scott “Chicago” Jordan 1 Low Release?
The Travis Scott Air Jordan 1 Low Chicago is currently expected to release in 2027, although an exact date has not been announced.
A retail price, official color description, style code and complete size range also remain unknown. Because the release is still more than a year away, its details and final design could change before launch.
If released, the sneaker will likely be available through Travis Scott’s official website, Nike SNKRS and select Jordan Brand retailers. Its exact release method has not been confirmed.
For now, the newly surfaced images offer an early look at what could become one of Travis Scott’s biggest Air Jordan releases yet.
