Yeat Enters a New Era With COCOON
Yeat is back with a new project. The rapper has officially released his COCOON EP, a seven track offering featuring Drake on the highly anticipated “MISS MY DAWG.”
Running just 16 minutes, COCOON is a compact release that wastes little time. Drake is the project’s only credited guest, leaving Yeat to carry the remaining six tracks as he returns to the distorted production, unpredictable flows and infectious melodies that first fueled his rise.
The EP arrives less than six months after Yeat released his double album ADL, continuing an active 2026 for the rapper.
Drake Reunites With Yeat on “MISS MY DAWG”
The biggest headline surrounding the Yeat COCOON EP is “MISS MY DAWG,” the latest collaboration between Yeat and Drake.
Drake previewed the record shortly before its release in his FEAR OF MISSING OUT film. Yeat later confirmed the feature during the EP’s rollout, instantly making it the project’s most anticipated track.
The song continues a creative relationship that began with “IDGAF” from Drake’s 2023 album For All the Dogs. That collaboration became a major moment for Yeat, exposing his sound to an even wider audience.
The pair later reunited alongside Julia Wolf on “DOG HOUSE” in 2025. Yeat also filmed his “MADE IT ON OUR OWN” video with EsDeeKid at Drake’s Toronto mansion earlier this year.
“MISS MY DAWG” now marks the latest chapter in a connection that has continued across multiple releases and eras.
COCOON Keeps Things Short and Focused
Instead of following ADL with another massive album, Yeat keeps COCOON deliberately concise.
The seven song EP runs approximately 16 minutes, allowing each record to hit quickly without dragging down the project’s momentum. Tracks including “EARNED IT,” “LUH BIRK,” “HOLY WATËR” and the title track find Yeat leaning back into the warped production and melodic experimentation associated with some of his most popular work.
Its shorter format also recalls Yeat’s approach on 2025’s DANGEROUS SUMMER. Rather than attempting to cover every corner of his sound, COCOON feels built to deliver a focused snapshot of where he is right now.

- “COCOON”
- “EARNED IT”
- “IN2THAT”
- “MISS MY DAWG” featuring Drake
- “LUH BIRK”

Yeat Shares Personal Rehab Update Alongside COCOON
The release of COCOON also arrives with a deeply personal update from Yeat.
In a tweet shared by Kurrco, the rapper revealed that he went to rehab, adding another layer of meaning to a project already centered on change and transformation.
Yeat has not publicly shared further details about the circumstances surrounding the decision, but the announcement marks a vulnerable moment for an artist who has frequently referenced substance use throughout his music. With COCOON now available, the title feels especially significant as Yeat steps away to focus on his health and recovery.

Is COCOON the Beginning of Yeat’s Next Era?
The title COCOON naturally points toward transformation, making the EP feel like more than a collection of songs released between albums.
Whether the project is a standalone release or the first step toward Yeat’s next full length era remains unclear. Either way, its focused runtime, return to a fan favorite sound and major Drake collaboration give Yeat another release designed to generate conversation.
COCOON is available now across all major streaming platforms.
