Signed Bully Vinyl

Are Ye’s Signed BULLY Vinyls Really Signed By Him?

When Ye initially dropped his signed BULLY vinyls, fans were shocked at the news as it was the first time in the Chicago legend’s career he released signed pieces to fans.  With signed BULLY vinyls and CD’s available for $50 even now, it seemed a no brainer to many Ye fans.

While collectors were excited to receive what appeared to be authentic signatures, a growing number of fans are now questioning whether those autographs are actually real—or produced using an autopen device.

As the discussion spreads across the Ye fan communities, the situation highlights a broader issue in modern merch culture: how do you verify authenticity when mass-produced “signed” items flood the market?

What Is the Autopen Theory?

Autopen machines are mechanical devices used to replicate a person’s signature. They’ve been used for decades by politicians, celebrities, and public figures to sign large volumes of documents or merchandise.

The controversy here stems from fans comparing signatures on different signed BULLY vinyl copies. Some claim the signatures look too uniform or identical, which is often cited as a potential sign of autopen use.

However, similarity alone is not proof. Many artists develop consistent signature styles, especially when signing hundreds or thousands of items in a controlled setting.

Yeezy Support Won’t Verify The Vinyls

Earlier today X user @yzycrave shared an alleged screenshot of a Yeezy customer support email that has sparked controversy in the Ye community.  In the above screenshot, Yeezy support alleges they are unable to guarantee or confirm whether the signatures were personally signed by Ye or applied via an auto pen.

While this screenshot may not confirm the autopen allegations, it does allege the potential existence of one having been used.

Why Fans Think Something Feels Off

The same X user @yzycrave would later share that the latest batches of signed BULLY vinyls now include a signed insert rather the advertised vinyl itself being signed.  This is worrisome if true as it adds doubt to whether Ye himself actually signed these BULLY vinyls as we have only seen him previously sign the actual Vinyl itself when advertising signed copies at his So-Fi stadium concerts.

Final Thoughts

While the use of the autopen for Ye’s signed BULLY vinyls would definitely disappoint fans, I could understand it from a pure logistics standpoint as he would be signing presumably thousands if not tens of thousands of them.

We have also seen that some of the signed BULLY vinyls from the So-Fi stadium concerts have a different signature style from the online version, and that was already pointed out upon the initial release.  Either way, we hope that Ye did actually sign these and if you are still interested in picking them up, head over to bully.yeezy.com.
